Return to Table to Contents ACCUPLACER - Math Test - Study Resources The math section of the Accuplacer placement test will start students off in the Arithmetic section. If students score a 55 or higher in the Arithmetic section they will automatically be prompted into the Elementary Algebra section. Students who do not score a 55 or higher on the Arithmetic section will not be prompted into the elementary algebra section. If you are not prompted into the Elementary Algebra section your course placement will be determined us ing only your Arithmetic score(s).
